Zigbee/Z-wave capacity?

What about with something like this?

Z wave gpio board

Seems like it might work but you would probably have to write an app for it(fap).

It will take about a truckload of coffee and boredom to properly get a reflashed silvercrest working, but those LIDL gateways , cheapest models also support some tinkering and with some dedication for those who have no life, you can kinda get the mqtt stuff working. The tuya stuff is fun to play with but if you add 40 devices splitted over 3 gateways in the same room , you start to notice a lot of interference with wifi/bluetooth stuff. So I like zigbee/tuya to play with but I would not consider it a solid sollution in a crowded 2.4ghz area.

edit ( here zigbee is only 2.4ghz), and the 868-930ish range is more reserved for old semi 2g or loranet/zwave stuff or worse. for some reason i also see a lot of chinese heaters and climate controll stuff on 779 while that should not be available here but I guess those are the wonders of alixprs.
