I love the “Play alert on Flipper”-feature, and had the idea that it would be neat to have it work the other way as well, making the phone chime from the Flipper.

A very practical idea!
You can add a badkb script that controls the phone over Bluetooth, and triggers a shortcut that plays a loud sound. But a built-in feature as you suggest would be better
Tasker would be a good DIY option for Android phones. It could detect a Bluetooth beacon or Bluetooth connection in order to may the phone ring.
