From seeing multiple threads on this it seems it’s the USB C cable. I’ve tried two other, which are the only two USB C I have, and those didn’t work either. None of them must have the correct data transfer. Can someone recommend one that works? Thanks.

If you haven’t done so try connecting your current cable to different ports on your computer and try to avoid connecting over a USB hub. I have used this exact cable model to connect my Flipper Zero. It is a bit long though. Generally speaking I like Anker branded USB cables as the quality is pretty good.
