Old School Pagers

Had a Mountain Dew pager in high school. Just grabbed one on eBay for the nostalgia and it turns on and functions. Any way to set them off with the Flipper?

Commercial paging operates in the 35-36, 43-44, 152-159, and 454-460 MHz bands (sometimes referred to as the “Lower Band”) and the 929 and 931 MHz bands (sometimes referred to as the “Upper Band”)

Someone wrote a program for the Flipper to receive pages but not one to send pages. I see no reason why the Flipper wouldn’t be able to do it as long as the frequency is in the correct range but it would require the proper software. It might not be legal to transmit a signal on the correct frequency. There are a lot of people out there playing with pagers and pager software. The type you have should be pocsag. You will need to find the frequency of your pager and it’s RIC(electronic serial number).

I apologize for being a complete n00b, but I’m trying to figure out a way to make a pager work properly for film use. Would you be able to provide me with any more resources about the people playing with pagers.
Thanks
