Only about 50 meters for CC1101

I’d like to buy a flipper zero but I have some doubts on the quality of this device.
In docs I can read “Flipper has an integrated 433MHz antenna, and a CC1101 chip, which makes it a powerful transceiver capable of up to 50 meters range”
In the past I tested 2 CC1101 tuned for 433 MHz and I reached 400 meters range, with a ping between 2 microcontrollers and spi interface to CC1101.
Why is so low range?
With the device R01 is allowed to trasmit also 868.15 - 868.55, if the antenna is tuned for 433, at 868 how many meters can I reach?
With my test environment, always 2 CC1101 tuned for 433, when I tried to trasmit at 868, the distance go down to 50 meters from 400, I expected a very low distance with this device or the flipper zero circuit tune the LC depending on frequency?

Thanj you for the informations

Not part of a team, but Flipper as a commercial device needs to comply with regulations.

If you have this sort of issues/questions please simply don’t buy Flipper.

Also it would be impossible on an assembled product like flipper to have a way to adjust the hardware antenna each time you need to set a new frequency. If range and antenna is an issue please do go buy another product like SDR or HackRF, etc …

At this point Flipper demand is way bigger than the capacity of supply them so please let the ones that really want a Flipper now to have it and wait while you think if you need/want to buy one or not, that way there will be at least one more available for someone that really wants to have one …

Sure I will not buy, only a kid can spend all these money for NOTHING!!!
The real price should be 100USD and not more.
With a simple board with CC1101 from China for 3 o 4 USD, I get a better distance.

For NFC you can’t emulate ISO14443B, because the chip is not capable to emulate it, TRF7970A can emulate 14b without issue, maybe was better choose this chip.

Around this device there is only markering and nothing more.

Soon many will understand what they have in their hands.

Yes, you are absolutely right. Some people here write they are disappointed, because they can’t point the little Flipper towards a garage or car and just open it. It seems there are videos on YouTube which promises this ‘fearure’.
From this point the device is a expensive toy. Even the simple ‘open Tesla charging port’ needs some extra knowledge, regarding of your region.

In my case, I’ve learned a lot about different protocols and still learning. Maybe I need to be nearer to the source than with a HackRF or similar SDR. But the flipper speaks so much more on less space. Everywhere I can look around and decide what to ‘sniff’, analyze, look at.

In the 3 month I am walking around, not only I learned a lot, also the Flipper got regular updates with much i.provements from the community.
In some threads I which more dialog, but this is a society thing, not a Flipper issue.

As said before: Just don’t t buy it.
But also don’t try to make it bad for others. There are people who are very happy about ‘the marketing’ and the product, the Flipper Team is offering.

@juvann you can for instance go to a Chinese shop and buy an AM/FM radio reciever for 1€ or 2€ and that will play radio unlike a 200€ flipper, so yeah, it’s better not to buy flipper and buy something else instead.

You can as well for instance buy a pandora for 6000€ and you will be able to READ 4 frequency and 2 modulations to capture car key remote codes…

Also Flipper requires to know how to use it so yes, please don’t buy it.

Regards.
