Sub-GHZ "Firmware Update Needed" - Requires Reinstall

Getting a message of “Firmware Update Needed” after erasing the Flipper Zero. It says, " Please update firmware before using this feature"

I can confirm I am on:

  • Firmware 0.8.2
  • 1 June 2023
  • Release Firmware Update Channel

I have performed a reinstall and then it works.

Not sure what has caused this, but documenting here for anyone else who may get stuck.

Yes, when erasing your Flipper Zero, you’re also erasing the SubGhz Region Provisioning data. Without this data, SubGhz can’t be used. This data gets uploaded with each update, which is why the reinstall helped.
