What are the best external antennas o be used for the flipper zero (please include what they have over the original radio, range, strength etc)
To attach an external antenna would require taking the Flipper apart and directly soldering it to the Flipper. Some devices attach to the GPIO pins and some of those devices have built in radios. Those radios have their own antennas but there is no “best” option. There are many options with very different purposes.
What would be some options that can attach to the gpio pins
I don’t even know what you want to do. There are too many options. It’s basically the wild west and people are attaching all kinds of things to their Flipper.

Hypothetically I’d use SMA because there are a ton of good antennas in a wide variety of frequencies and the connector is very durable. There are also some good whip antenna you can cut to length if you can’t find the correct frequency. Lot’s good adapters too like LNA(Low Noise Amplifiers), notch filters, and up converters. Many of which we(radio community) already use with SDR and handheld transceivers.
