I noted that someone put in a feature request in Aug 2020. There was a kind of off hand response saying basically that it would do similar things. One of the very powerful things that the bus pirate does is let’s you write little scripts on the command line. You can write a script for example to read an I2C ADC. This is really power full. I think the Bus Pirate was open source or versions of it were- its kind of been abandoned. I would help with development- I know the bus pirate pretty well and could help with documentation.
